TIME IN ART

 TIME IN ART

PAST
PRESENT
FUTURE
Every painting by an artist represents the three elements of time, whether in a portrait, landscape or still life and whether realisticallu, abstractly or impressionistic.
Some artists concentrate on the past, some on the present and some on the future.  Not because they are conscious of why but because they are driven by circumstances the experience,
Regardless of their conscious motive each still reflect sumbolically past, present and future.
What was, what is and what will be.
The symbolism may not be easily understood but in the depiction one has a fixed moment  in time that represents a particular event yet in that event it symbolises what is but what was and what will be.
An example
The depiction of a tree.  It may show a mature tree of perhaps 10 years growth but in that depiction it speaks symbolisically as it was as a seed and what its life span will be just by seeing it when 10 years old.
It is the same with a human portrait, a still life and a landscape.
Even in decorative design the elements of time and event is symbolically defined as in these stripes

THE PRESENT
CHAOS
IN THE
WORLD
In these stripes symbolism is represented in colour depicting the variois cultures, nationalities of countries and every religion.
They depict an unemotional mental condition but they also depict a competitive elment that indicates past, present and future.
If not easily recognised this competition is depicted in the way each border is created meaning, non-co-operation, lack of communication, closed borders, conflicting policy, opposing laws and self determination.
Exactly how mankind is operating internationally
Also in these nude men

In them one sees the symbolism of beauty, pain, resurection, peace, violence, torment, hope, faith, truth and nobility.
