In the case of a Hermes Birkin bag the packaging is even more costly.  But why is the bag sold for $38,000.00 USD?

Go back to 1950 to understand the price war between Paris and Beijing over the valuevof these common items thatcsuddenly work must have at any cost.

Hermes or VLMH isn't't worthvthe price but if you, as they do, lease a store front in s prime location today it might cost at least $200,000.00 USD a month on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach so what if you only sellbone Birkin bag a month?  Well to cover the rent alonevyou would havecto sell  5 bags to covervrent if the $40,000.00 was without any cost to make. So if those bags can be made for $50.00 in China, why have them made in France for $20,000.00 each?   Just label them "Made in France"

Now if you have over 1,000 stores all costing in tent the same as in Palm Beachvthen how many Hermes Birkin bags would you have to sell?  I guess atvleastc5 thousand but now that is mass production dice that only covers one months rent and 12 months rent one would have to sell 70 thousand bags.  So made in China is the only alternative and either thosecthousands ofvbags how can they be considered rare one of a kind luxury?  So far only rent is covered andbyou haven't made any money yet.  Those is Hermes and LVMH.  They have no money but billionsvin material wealth  

Add labor, immaterial, advertising,cpackaging, public Relations andvsuddenly you are worth 3 Billion USD.  With empty stores but thousands of bagscasvinventory not selling but sitting in stores with no walk in customers.

These two characters, and I mean characters, either make you laugh or cry.  They are the most currupt and vicious pair of billians in the fashion industry today and have been for decades.  Their greed and viciousness has led the innocent world into the most major inflation ever known or could be imagined by appearing able to lead an industry yet befoul it in the most criminal and mercenary way.  Love them or hate them but never trust them.

Today, after setting up their schedules to virtually rip off and violate every principal of human decency totally lacking in compassion and humanitarianism been brought down on their knees.
